Constant Payne was an animated pilot I wrote and produced for Nickelodeon Animation. The show is about a non-powered crime fighting genius named Doc Payne and his daughter, Amanda Payne. This was to be Nickelodeon's first Action-Adventure show. None had been tried previously because no one could see how the show could appeal to both girls and boys. I solved that problem by making the daughter the star of the show and having the father character be a major ass-kicking good guy to appeal to the boys.
The main credits for the show were inspired by the
look and colors of Russian wood-block propaganda
posters of the 1920s and 30's. Because everything I touch turns into Propaganda, evidently.
